Student accommodation in Lecco

The Ghislanzoni Campus, located at number 64 of Via Ghislanzoni, just a few metres from the city university campus, consists of 27 accommodation units for a total of 53 beds. Of these, 37 beds are available at the Standard Reduced Rate (TMR): 29 single rooms (including 3 fully accessible rooms with private bathrooms) and 8 beds in double rooms, while 16 beds in double rooms are offered at the Right to Study (DSU) subsidised rate, reserved for high-achieving students according to the criteria defined by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR).
The building, originally a wax and perfume factory until 1930 and later repurposed for artisanal use until its decommissioning, has undergone a careful architectural redevelopment and energy-efficient refurbishment project by the BD Group. Respecting the original structure, the project has successfully integrated residential and recreational functions while preserving the industrial aesthetic features that reflect the history of both the building and the city.
The TMR units on the ground floor, ranging from one to four beds per apartment, are all equipped with private kitchens. The remaining units, consisting of single and double rooms on both the ground and first floors, share a large communal kitchen with an outdoor terrace. At the centre of the campus, there is a small bar serving the residence, as well as a reading room, a TV lounge, a laundry room, and a caretaker’s apartment.
